Episode 325: Best/Worst 2023

Dread it, run from it, the end of the year happens all the same. Was 2023 a good or a bad? It’s time to deliberate and find out, the only way we know how: through the arduous task of Best/Worst. Supplemental Reading: Everything, Everywhere, All at Once (2022)

Seldom does it happen that John and Henry both see a movie in the same timeframe without planning to do a Supplemental Reading. This is one of those times. Independently, John and Henry saw Everything, Everywhere, All at Once by Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert and both of them came to the same conclusion: this movie warrants a SupRed. Please do yourself a favor if you haven’t seen this movie yet and go see it. Words will not do it justice, and neither will this episode. That being said, here is Zero Credit(s)’ best effort to try to discuss this phenomenal film starring Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, Jenny Slate, Biff Wiff, and James Hong, among others.

Supplemental Reading: Bloodshot

Valiant comics may not be as well known as your run of the mill DC or Marvel comics, but they still exist and with Marvel being over and DC being…DC, Valiant Entertainment is in a prime position to take over the superhero space with their particular brand of superhero. To kick things off we have Bloodshot, starring Vin Diesel, Eiza Gonzalez, Guy Pearce, and Winston from New Girls. Will this origin story turned action adventure thriller be good enough to launch an entire cinematic universe? Well, that’s for us to decide.

**THIS IS A SUPPLEMENTAL READING, MEANING WE TALK ABOUT THE MOVIE IN SUCH A MANNER THAT IT WOULD BE BEST IF YOU, DEAR LISTENER, HAVE SEEN THE MOVIE WE’RE TALKING ABOUT BEFORE LISTENING TO THIS EPISODE**
